Due to popular demand I’ve made another Cthulhu Ninja. This one is medium sized, and an evil rethinking of the original Baby blue. He’s got bloodshot eyes and tehe pupils are kinda funny shaped as well. All in all, don’t freck with Cthulhu, even if he does kinda look like a demented Santa Claus. For a mere $20 adoption fee, pure evil has never been so affordable.
UPDATE: Red Cthulhu is sold!
On a side note, if any ectomites are reading this I’ve been pondering both Squid Ninja and Octobee Ninja. Good idea, or sacrilegious?
I also made a New Born Baby Ninja. Took longer than I thought, mainly because he’s so tiny and hard to work with! I might try another one but entirely handstitch it next time. Either way, I’m keeping this one. He sits under my TV next to the PS3 controllers.
So I’ve made a pricing change and some other decisions. All small Ninjas are now $15 instead of $25 and all medium Ninjas are now $20 instead of $30. Also, shipping is free in North America for all Ninjas. I’m no longer selling through Etsy as, while the storefront was nice, it was a pain having to shell out a % of what little profits I was making. With the price drop, getting that taken off really isn’t an option anymore.
If you want to buy a Ninja, CONTACT ME and I’ll tell you to send me an email money transfer to ryancouldrey AT yahoo.com or a paypal payment to the same email address. Contact me first though to make sure the Ninja is still in stock.
If you want a particular Ninja you don’t see, I’ll also take a commission. I’d require the full standard price of the Ninja plus $2.50 in advance. It seems Cthulhu Ninja was more popular than I thought he’d be, which is why I’m throwing this out there. I WILL be making at least one more of Cthulhu, in a slightly different style (will save me some time in his construction) so hold off on commissioning him just yet. Any other ideas? LET ME KNOW!
SO, to summarize, I think the original price point was too high. $25-$30 per ninja plus $5 shipping was too much. $15-$20 with FREE shipping should be much more enticing. You end up getting a cute as fark ninja for a price point that’s on par or cheaper than an Ugly Doll (those are awesome btw, I love Jeero!), it’s hand made, and they’re all mostly different from one another. Help me buy some camera equipment would ya, and adopt a Ninja!
So the dolls were on sale briefly. Then I realized (sorry, my wife realized… happy Ally?) that the whole site was not really well made for selling schtuff. I’ll be going the Etsy route.
This will be finished up TONIGHT. There, I said it. I’ll still use this site for posting news and nonsense about the Ninja Dolls, and will also post up some of them that aren’t for sale (i.e. I gave them away), just because it’d still be cool to show them off, like the iNinja.
Did ya hear the GREAT news? Ninja Dolls go on sale THIS WEEK! I’ll be putting a few on sale each day. There are two sizes, small and medium. The small size ninjas (the only size featured in the above video) will cost $25 plus $5 shipping, while the medium Ninjas will cost $35 plus $5 shipping (all prices in Canadian dollars). Certain Ninjas may cost a bit extra due to their extra coolness (and as such the extra time they took to make), Baby Blue Cthulhu being one of them. Not a huge amount, but a few dollars more (those tentacles were murder to stuff!). Sad Yellow ninja needn’t be sad anymore, as his brethren (such as Mustachio’d Ninja and Ying-Yang Two-Face Ninja) will finally have the chance to find a loving home filled with unsuspecting targets. Umm, I mean adoptive parents. Ya…
If you wanna be sure to snag one be sure to subscribe to either the RSS or Email Updates. Two buttons will appear on the site once they go on sale; Available ninja Dolls will always be accessible via the associated button that says, err, “Available Ninja Dolls,” while the functionality of the “Unavailable Ninja Dolls” button will be left to your imagination.
Ok, so there’s at least a few people that are anxious for me to start selling the dolls. I want to do this way sooner than later, believe me! Main problem is figuring out the shipping costs for North America, even though the people the mainly know about Ninja-Dolls are in good ol’Toronto. I’m close to figuring it out, but one thing is holding me back…
How much it’ll cost to ship the larger Ninja Dolls.
Because this is taking so long, I’ve decided to start making a larger doll to go with the smaller 7 inch Ninjas I’ve currently got in stock. Not gonna spoil any surprises as to what flavor the dolls will come in (I tend to decide just before I sit down at my Singer), but there will be a few treats, as well as at least one that was specifically requested (and as such might not be publicly available). WATCH THIS SPACE!
Lastly, I’ve decided to ditch the idea of a mailing list. It seemed like a good idea in theory (after all, everyone else seems to have one) but if you really wanna know what’s going on then just subscribe to the RSS feedor you can subscribe with Email Updates. How gnarly is that?!
Heya folks! I’ve got the first little batch of dolls made. The only thing I need to do is to properly set up a shopping cart system (etsy perhaps?) and to figure out just how much it will cost for me to ship these awesome little buggers around the world. In the meantime, if you want to be kept aware of news and developments and perhaps answer some questions I might have for you, my hopefully soon-to-be loyal Ninja customers, then please get in contact with me (<- that’s a link, click it!) and mention that you’d like to be added to my mailing list! I’ll be handling that through my general email, so no crazy mailing list software will be collecting your information.
In the meantime, here’s a little teaser. Left to right: Infected Pink Ninja, Baby Blue Cthulhu Ninja, Green KISS Fan Ninja, and Inebriated Orange Ninja. Others will be available when it all goes official. SMOKEBOMBKTHXBAI
